We visited this fantastic restaurant for our wedding aniversary. The food and service were marvellous. It was like being in Spain again! Proper authentic dishes cooked with love and served with pride. We particularly enjoyed trying the spanish brandies. The waitresses and owner were only to happy to spend time with us to help us decide on which tapas and wine to have. Would recommend to anyone.

Just wanted to drop you a quick, albeit delayed, message to thank you and your team for a fabulous evening on 22nd September. The food was outstanding and your warm and helpful staff are an absolute credit to you. Everybody had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and I hope to have introduced a fair few to tapas and El Bocado!

I thank you personally for your generosity and help with organising the party and I very much look forward to returning soon.

Ate here Saturday afternoon. Had several tapas dishes between 3 of us and all were superb! Recommend estafado de carne and the belly pork dishes especially

The food, the staff and the ambiance. This restaurant has everything going for it. I was sold once I tried the Tempura Aubergine with Honey, thin slices of aubergine in tempura batter drizzled it honey that were heaven. The menu is a mix of tapas and other main courses. I can speak for the tapas and say everything is at least good but some of the tapas menu transcend taste.

The restaurant is well situated just out of the main shopping centre of Exeter. The restaurant itself is very nicely modern with a nice look to it. The staff were very friendly, talkative and helpful.

This retaurant is well worth a visit. The sevice is always excellent and the food perfect, the attension to detail is obvious by the wine lis t(we have tried some but always come back to the rojas)this alone is worth at least a few visits.will be back again.

I came back for El Bocado's Flamenco night, after several recommendations, and it didn't disappoint. Such a great way to spend an evening - something i've never experienced before and it was really good fun to watch!

I noticed a few new things on the menu (nice to see their evolving) - the tempura aubergine was absolutely delicious as were the chilli prawns, lime sardines, patatas bravas and goats cheese salad which i also ordered. For dessert I had their new and improve.

I would like to pass on my sincere thanks for all that you and your team did for Booker last night. The food and service was superb and I have already had great feedback from the people you entertained last night. Please pass this on to your Waitresses, Waiter and Chefs as they were outstanding.

I keep coming back to El Bocado time and again, and each time the food and service are great. What's refreshing to see is that the menu keeps evolving, and I enjoy trying new tapas each time I go; as a result I can't imagine ever getting tired of eating there. It shows, also, how passionate and enthusiastic the owners are about providing great food. Keep up the good work!

Our family were on our way to a holiday in Devon - the journey was endless, the weather dire, and we longed for lunch so we randomly chose El Bocado, and how very lucky that choice was ! We were warmly greeted by Graham, one of the owners and we had a delicious selection of dishes and first rate wine. Nothing was too much trouble. How lucky are the people of Exeter to have such a great restaurant on their doorstep!

The menu offered choice, and above all adaptability. If you want you can just stick to Tapas - but I had a main course too. Meanwhile my wife went on with her main-course tapa, the beef patties, and pronounced herself well pleased. We left the table having been courteously served, feeling neither rushed nor stuffed. As for our friends , they said they would be back for more another time.

I know little about Spanish cuisine but I know someone who does. Yesterday he came to stay for a long weekend and we decided to find somewhere new for lunch. Neither of us had any great expectations of an Exeter based Tapas bar but how wrong could we have been. A short lunch turned into a 3 hour gastronomic education for me and revelation for my friend who has spent a lot of time in Spain and knows authentic Tapas when he finds it. The menu was extensive, the food was delicious and the service was spot on. Neither of us could fault it and we're going back today!

We had a meal at El Bocado last Saturday - and it was fab! We'd never had tapas before so did not know what to expect, and we were really delighted with the food - so yummy. There is a really great atmosphere in the restaurant, the decor is lovely, the music just right, the staff friendly and welcoming. Altogether a fantastic night out. Would definitely recommend, and we will be back for more!!

Wow - what a fantastic place to go and experience Spanish food - great atmosphere, friendly staff and brilliant food... cannot wait to go back - highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic, we've been twice now and cannot fault it. Best tapas I've eaten, much better than the tapas served up in most of the restaurants in Spain! Reasonably priced quality food and do try the ice cream - it's to die for!!!

Seven of us ate at this restaurant last Wednesday and we could not fault the food or service. We ordered a selection of Tapas and main courses and everyone enjoyed the evening. Our hosts Don and Graham were superb and as a result I would happily recommend El Bocado to anyone who enjoys great Spanish Food... well done.
